Nachiko - III A PAINTBRUSH MANDALA
Nachiko - III A PAINTBRUSH MANDALA
The third album by Nachiko (Nachiko Tateoka), a Japanese singer-songwriter now active as a philosopher, released in 1981.
A rare work that blends a poetic and visually rich world deeply influenced by literature with rock and synth-pop. Standout tracks include A3, inspired by Ryunosuke Akutagawa’s novel Rashomon, and B4, which draws from Hermann Hesse’s Siddhartha. The opening track A1 is a downbeat electro piece adorned with vocoder choruses and trippy synth effects — a perfect choice for a fresh, unconventional birthday track.
